White Horse Theatre -

"The Slug in the Shoe" und "Two Gentlemen"

“In my opinion the actors did a good job but I didn’t like the performance because we were promised a comedy but then we only saw a boring love story.”
(Lennert)

“I think “Two Gentlemen” is a nice play with a good story and funny actors. But it still was a little boring to watch the play for long stretches. All in all the play was okay but I wouldn’t like to see a performance by this group of actors next year.”
(Michelle)

“In my opinion this play was a poor show because it’s a stupid love story without any special things that could have happened. The story is too easy to understand and you could foresee most of the things even if you had only read the first part of the play before the show as we had in class.”
(Finn)

““Two Gentlemen” is an adaption of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” by Shakespeare. The play is well transfered to modern times. Everything was easy to understand and spiced up with comedy, but the story was just not interesting enough to get all the audience’s attention. The two actors and the two actresses made really exaggerated gestures and they didn’t seem to be happy with the audience since the “question and answer part” at the end of the show was skipped. All in all I’d say that the play was okay and the actors did a good job. I wouldn’t highly recommend “Two Gentlemen”, but it is what you can expect for a 5£ ticket.”

“I think the play this time was better than the one last year, but it wasn’t so interesting that I would call it perfect. I didn’t like that it was written in very simple English. This was good for the 7th form but too boring for us. Some jokes were good and the funniest scene was when Silvia slapped Vincent in the end. The actors did a good job but their work was destroyed by the poor story.”
(Timothy)

“I think that the actors knew their words very well but the play was very boring. I wouldn’t like to go to the White Horse Theatre next year. The actors thought they were very funny but they weren’t. All in all I think that the play was good for younger classes but not for us.”
